Resumption Of Face-To-Face Training

SICES INSTITUTE OF HEALTHCARE AND VOCATIONAL STUDIES INC. will RESUME its FACE-TO-FACE Trainings on OCTOBER 5, 2020 pursuant to TESDA Advisories – TVET No. 108 and 114, series of 2020 dated September 2 and 7, 2020 respectively, CLEARANCE/APPROVAL TO RESUME CONDUCT OF FACE-TO-FACE TRAININGS AND COMPETENCY ASSESSMENTS IN AREAS UNDER MODIFIED GENERAL COMMUNITY QUARANTINE (MGCQ) and by authority of the City Government of Cebu hereby APPROVED and authorized all Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs) to conduct FACE-TO-FACE Trainings, Competency Assessments and other related training activities during the period of Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) provided there is strict compliance with minimum public health standards, TESDA Guidelines and consultation with local government units up to 50% Training and Assessment SITE CAPACITY or the Capacity of the Training Venue and NOT the Maximum Learners per Batch, as long as the standard physical distancing requirements is still in place.

However, this institution will still continue with all its ongoing efforts to shift to Flexible Learning since these delivery modes would pose the least risk for our learners and trainers amidst the COVID 19 pandemic.

Scholarship Grants

SICES INSTITUTE OF HEALTHCARE AND VOCATIONAL STUDIES INC. entered into a project called“CAREGIVING NC II SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS” through the help of its Local and International Funding Institutions sponsors. The target beneficiaries are identified as follows:

Less fortunate Senior High School & Alternative Learning System (ALS) Graduates, College Level Students, of the City and Province of Cebu including the nearby Provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao Regions who wish to study CAREGIVING NC II in the following areas of Specialization: Elderly Care, Persons with Special Needs, and Pediatric Care.

This institution would like to offer this  people a chance to gain skills in caregiving thru scholarship grants, for them to have a chance to raise their status quo in the society and gradually eliminate the reason why they are unemployed especially with the emerging pandemic we have experienced right now wherein everybody is affected socially, physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.

The expected Result of this project is to produce more caregivers, to help lessen and eradicate the unemployment rate gradually in Visayas and Mindanao in particular within Cebu province. The project will help the less unfortunate and young people who are interested to acquire knowledge and skills in caregiving and healthcare profession in general. This project will empower support to the young people who are discouraged to have a better life, and a stepping stone for employment whether local or overseas.

Moreover, the project would be of great help among local hospitals in the Philippines particularly in Cebu and other parts of the Visayas and Mindanao of having the opportunity to fill up the manpower shortages in their respective departments due to lack of available nurses and caregivers or nursing assistants to handle the jobs. The project will help the country’s goal of achieving less unemployment and lessening poverty rates in the countryside.

1st Sices Grand Alumni Homecoming

The 1st SICES GRAND ALUMNI HOMECOMING scheduled this year has been postponed due to the outbreak of COVID 19 pandemic that we are experiencing right now. The exact date and venue of the said activity will be announced as soon as travel restrictions to some major countries around the world where majority of our alumni are now living will be lifted as well as large number of social gatherings will be allowed.

E-Learning Class

New Learning Modalities is an emergency response to COVID 19 pandemic which affects greatly the education sector particularly in the delivery of training ang teaching methodologies which is a great challenge to the whole education system in times of crisis to adjust to the best possible circumstance to shift from the traditional classroom setting to BLENDED FACE-TO-FACE training delivery as it poses the least possible risk of  transmission of the said virus towards both the students and teachers. SICES INSTITUTE OF HEALTHCARE AND VOCATIONAL STUDIES INC. adopts this new normal learning modalities for CAREGIVING NC II COURSE. This institution is developing its Learning Management System (LMS) as a practical solution to address the educational system’s crisis in order to return to normality quickly as possible. In the next few days this e-learning system will be available to prospective students or trainees who would like to enroll through this type of learning modalities.
